I love this scripture as it is an example of God's great mercy towards his people. And I don't know about you but I need to be reminded constantly of God's great virtues, who he is, and there's no better place to learn than scripture. When I read this verse in Nehemiah I had to stop and go back over it because I noticed something, I have read the same thing in the Gospels coming from Jesus, and in the letters from Paul he beseeches us to express these same virtues and grace towards our brothers and sisters.
Nehemiah 9:17
They refused to obey and were not mindful of the wonders that you performed among them, but they stiffened their neck and appointed a leader to return to their slavery in Egypt. But you are a God ready to forgive, gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love, and did not forsake them.
What does this scripture speak to you?
In Christ Shannon
